Popping out/Placing images for editing (Original Files)

Working with Original images is a little different then working with the temporary images. Here is how you do it.

Select the image you would like to edit.

Select the image you would like to pop out to edit.

use "Pop out images"

Click "Pop Out Images" to open the selected image in a new tab or window.

Choose "Open Originals"

After choosing "Pop Out Images", you will be shown a options menu.
choose "Open Originials", in which case you would be working with the oringial image. This will find the original image that was used for your spread and open it.

There is no real way of telling the oringal from the temporary, until you go to place it back in to the spread. You need to remember what option you choose.

Open Original

In this example, we popped out the original image to work with. And we are reade to make our changes.

Placing your images back into your spread.

Here is where the steps differ when popping back the edited image. When working with original files, you must click the "Save & Replace Orig" button to pop your newly saved original file back into the spread. WARNING -If you choose to "Return Images", you will get a photoshop error "No such element".

WAM! You're done!

There you go! Now your image is back in the spread with the changes you made. The original file was alterend, now you have both the spread and the oringinal image in black and white.
